I’m not really a makeup person. I’ve always been a curlash-lip balm type of girl. But when I started working, I was required to add more “color” to my face. My boss even gave me a lecture on Makeup 101 during my first job. And now, I’ve learned to appreciate BB Creams, concealers, foundations, eyeshadows, and blush ons. Yup, still the basics! I still go for natural look! ;)

Since I only use mineral makeup (I have sensitive skin and they don’t look cakey), I also had to invest on good brushes. These tools can harbor lots of dirt and bacteria, so I make it a point to wash them regularly. 

I just pour on some water and brush shampoo in a glass, then dip and swish bristles around it. If it’s really dirty and full of powder, I replace water, dip and swish until water is clean. Then I squeeze out excess water and residue by gently wiping back and forth on paper towel. 

I hold wet brushes with bristles always facing down to avoid water to run down on the ferrule, as this may damage the whole brush (esp. the part w/ glue). 

I use Brush Guards to keep them in shape and to be able to dry with the bristles down. I just air dry them for a couple of days, and they’re good as new again! :)
